How We Hire

We're all about providing great experiences - whether you're playing on our patented tech, an employee helping to build our company or a candidate thinking of joining us. So when you do apply for a role with us, we want the journey to be enjoyable, seamless and for you to feel informed along the way. Here's a heads up about what to expect when you apply for a role with us.

1. Intro phone chat

You’ll receive an email inviting you to have an initial phone chat with our Talent Acquisition Partner (TA Partner). This is our first touchpoint to introduce you to Aura and ask you some quick questions so we can learn more about what you're looking for.

2. First interview (1 hour)

The hiring leader and Head of People & Culture (HoP&C) will host the first interview, where we’ll get to know more about you, your journey so far and what you're looking for next. We're interested to learn more about your skills, experience and how you work. We hope to answer any of your questions too!

3. Skills Exercise

Depending on the role, we might ask you to have a go at our Skills Exercise at this point. This gives us an idea of how you approach and solve problems.

4. Second Interview (1 hour)

The hiring leader will pair up two relevant team members to run this deep-dive technical interview. This is your chance to showcase your superpowers, share what you’ve been doing and delve into the role details.

5. Reference Checks

We’ll contact a couple of your referees (with your permission, of course) to learn more about you and your experience from their perspective.

6. Meet Ant (15 minutes)

Our founder and CEO, Antony Arena, loves to meet our top candidates. This is a short chat with Ant and our HoP&C, where Ant likes to get a sense of who you are. Feel free to come loaded with questions!

7. Offer

If this opportunity is a mutual fit, Aura will likely make you an offer. If we do, you'll be hearing from our TA Partner about what this looks like and when the contract will be issued to review and sign.

8. You’re in!
